Set up the browser extension

The extension is optional. It sends the address and visible text of pages to DejaVu on this Mac only, never in private windows and never from sensitive sites.

  1. Safari: open Safari › Settings › Extensions and turn on DejaVu.
  2. Chrome, Brave or Edge (direct edition): open DejaVu › Settings › Browsers and click Install next to your browser.
  3. Open the extension once and choose Allow.
  4. To leave a site out, click the extension and choose Never remember this site.
